Position: PRN Homecare Provider

Department: Homecare Services

Location: New Jersey

Reports To: Administrator

Job Summary

We are seeking dedicated and compassionate individuals to join our Homecare Services team in the PRN (As Needed) capacity. As a PRN Homecare Provider, you will have the opportunity to make a positive impact on the lives of our clients by delivering personalized care and support. This role is ideal for individuals who are looking for flexible work hours and are passionate about assisting others in a home environment.

Key Responsibilities

Client Care:

Provide assistance with activities of daily living (ADLs) such as grooming, bathing, dressing, and meal preparation as per the client’s care plan.

Administer medication as instructed and ensure proper documentation.

Assist with mobility and transfers to maintain client safety.

Offer companionship, engage in meaningful conversations, and provide emotional support.

Observation and Reporting

Observe and report any changes in clients’ physical or mental conditions to the supervisor.

Document care provided, observations, and any incidents accurately and in a timely manner.

Maintain open communication with the Homecare Services team regarding clients’ needs and progress.

Home Environment

Help maintain a clean, safe, and comfortable living environment for clients.

Support light housekeeping duties, such as tidying up living spaces and doing laundry.

Professionalism

Uphold the agency’s values and maintain the highest level of professionalism and ethics.

Respect clients’ privacy and confidentiality at all times.

Flexibility

Be available for work on an as-needed basis, which may include weekends, evenings, and holidays, based on client needs and agency scheduling.

Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent.

Prior experience in caregiving, healthcare, or a related field is preferred but not required.

Basic understanding of providing personal care and assistance.

Strong interpersonal skills and the ability to communicate effectively.

Compassionate, patient, and empathetic nature.

Ability to follow directions, work independently, and make sound decisions.

Reliable transportation to reach clients’ homes, if required.

Physical Requirements

Ability to lift and assist clients with mobility needs.

Stamina to perform physical tasks throughout the shift.

Comfort with potentially dealing with situations requiring physical support and intervention.

Assistance with Therapy and Exercises

Flexible work hours based on your availability.
